Popes' Palace -
The biggest and most beautiful gothic palace in the world was the residence of the Sovereign Pontiffs during the 14th century. The visit includes 25 rooms: courtyard, cloister, reception halls, chapels, and private papal apartments with its priceless frescoes. In the summertime you can also see exhibitions.

Pont d'Avignon (Pont St. Benezet) - Built during the 12th century, it was destroyed in 1226 at the time of the Albigensian Crusades and then later rebuilt. The bridge was often damaged by raging flood waters, and finally abandoned in the 17th century. The UNESCO has classified the Pope's Palace and the St. Benezet, bridge as world heritage sites.

One hour cruise on the Rhone River - Take a round trip from Avignon to Barthelasse Island. Villeneuve to discover the St. Benezet bridge, the Popes' Palace, the Rochers des Doms, and the monuments of Villeneuve-les-Avignon, medieval town located in front of Avignon, on the other bank: the Fort St. Andre and the Tour Philippe Le Bel.

Visit of the famous le Pont du Gard, the best preserved roman aqueduct dating from the 1st century AD, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. Following that, a visit of les Baux de Provence, a village located upon a rock at 245 meters high, with its historical centre: the Museum of Santons, the Hotel des Porcelets, a beautiful house of the 16th century, and the St. Vincent Church, a pretty Romanesque building. Free time for lunch on your own.

Stop at the Roman monuments of Saint Remy de Provence (Triumphal Arch and funeral monument) located in a field of olive trees, landscape painted several times by Van Gogh. Picturesque drive through Luberon with its olive groves, vineyard and fields on the way to Roussillon and Gordes, which are amongst the most beautiful villages in France, famous for the red and yellow ochre cliffs and unusual natural landscape. Panoramic view at Gordes, a village perched in Luberon and completely made with dry stones. Visit of the Lavender Museum to discover the flower of Provence. Demonstrations of distillations during the harvest (from July to August). Visit of L'Isle sur la Sorgue a village famous for its antique shops and Sunday market.

Visit of Orange with its Roman monuments including a triumphal arch and what is considered to be one of the best preserved antic theatres (entrance fee included in Tour). Sightseeing in the vineyards and wine tasting in a cellar at Chateauneuf du Pape.

Stop at the Antiques of Saint Remy de Provence (Triumphal Arch and funeral monument) located ina field of olive trees, landscaped painted several times by Van Gogh.

Following that, a visit of les Baux de Provence, a village located upon a rock at 245 meters high with its historical center: the Museum of Santons, the Hotel des Porcelets, a beautiful house of the 16th century, and the St. Vincent Church, a pretty romanesque building. Free time for lunch on your own.

Visit Arles, a Roman city with an antic arena and theatre. Take a look at many of the places Van Gogh painted during his stay in 1888-1889.

In the Morning, visit of Orange, founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC, with its monuments including a triumphal arch and antic theatre (entrance included), scenic drive in the vineyards around Chateauneuf du Pape, explanations about the territory, grape varietiees, vinifications and aging cellars. Wine tasting follows.

In the afernoon, Pont du Gard, the best preserved Roman aqueduct, les Baux en Provence, a picturesque medieval village in the Alpilles mountains, and then in the Luberon region, visit the famous villages of Gordes and Roussillon which rank amongst the most beautiful villages in France with their unique architecture and landscape of red cliffs and ochre quarries. Free time for lunch on your own during tour.
